Greetings from the Karmojibi Nari and Safety and Rights Society (SRS)!
‘Karmojibi Nari’ and ‘Safety and Rights Society (SRS)’ are two non-governmental development organizations. Since 2022, in collaboration with GIZ, we have been conducting various awareness programs on women’s cafes in different areas of Dhaka and Gazipur for the workers of the garment, leather, and tannery industries to create a healthy working environment, labor laws, gender, and health. In continuation of this work, we are going to organize a cultural program and festival titled “GARMENT SHRAMIK TAROKA MELA” on 17th May 2024 (Friday) at Liberation War Museum (Main Auditorium), F11/A & F11/B, Sher-e Bangla Nagar Civic Centre, Agargaon, Dhaka from 10 am to 5 pm.
Honorable Member of Parliament Md. Mujibul Haque MP, Kishoreganj-3 (Former State Minister, Ministry of Labor and Employment) will be present as the Chief Guest at the event. Honorable Member of Parliament Anima Mukti Gomez MP, Constituency: 329, Women’s Seat-29, Bangladesh Awami League will be present as the Honorable Guest.
Thus, the national leaders, representatives from various government and private development organizations, employers, factory management, international donor organizations, national development organizations, leaders of national labor organizations, representatives of civil society, journalists, and 500 workers from the garment and tannery industries will participate in this event.
